Alborz Farsi School was established in September of 2004. Founders of Alborz started this program with the goal of being the top center of excellence for teaching Farsi in Northern California. Our goal at Alborz is to reach more students to teach our culture, language, and heritage. In addition to this, we hope to continue our quest for students to receive foreign language credits, in various districts in Northern California. It is our mission to inform and educate modern Iranian-Americans to read and write Farsi, as well as learning the importance and beauty of their culture. It is with great honor and privilege to announce that starting July 2014, Alborz Academy has become the first and only supplementary Farsi program to receive accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. This great achievement has enabled our students to receive accreditation in different levels of their education.
Alborz is located at 1954 Camden Ave. #3 San Jose, Ca. 95124 (408) 829-8296. This center is designed to better match Alborz unique and highly successful semi-private teaching style of very small classes where six or fewer students seated around a teacher and each gets their own customized curriculum matching his/her grade and capability level.
Classes:
We have private and group sessions for students of all levels. Our private sessions are one on one and our group sessions have a ratio of one (1) teacher to a maximum of six (6) students.
*Kindergarten level (Pish-dabestani). For students 4-5 years old.
This program will concentrate on making students ready for elementary level lessons through drawing, painting, games and other activities. This class will provide them with a foundational knowledge of Farsi before they start the next level.
*Elementary level. For students 5 years and up.
These classes are designed for students who have a foundational knowledge of Farsi and begins to teach them how to read and write Farsi, which we teach with the same textbooks used in Iran. Students will be able to read and write and comprehend at their grade level, and their knowledge will be evaluated on a regular basis.
*Non Farsi Speakers. For adults and children of all ages.
After years of experience in teaching Farsi, we have designed a special program for those who have little to no knowledge of Farsi. This program streamlines foundational Farsi lessons with more intensive conversational Farsi lessons. These lessons work perfectly and result in interested individuals to be able to speak Farsi with ease.
